Dungass is a department of the Zinder Region in Niger. Its administrative seat is the city of Dungass. As of 2012, the department had a total population of 353,867 people.[1]
History
The department goes back to the administrative post (poste administratif) of Dungass, which was established in 1988. In 2011, the administrative post was separated from the department of Magaria and elevated to the department of Dungass.[2]
