Rangamati Sadar (Bengali: রাঙামাটি সদর) is an upazila of Rangamati District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Geography
Rangamati Sadar is located at 22°39′00″N 92°11′00″E / 22.6500°N 92.1833°E / 22.6500; 92.1833. It has a total area of 546.48 km2.

As of the 2022 Bangladeshi census, Rangamati Sadar upazila had 35614 households and a population of 146,591. 24,486 (19.63%) were under 10 years of age. Rangamati Sadar had an average literacy rate of 64.5%, compared to the national average of 51.8%, and a sex ratio of 884 females per 1000 males. 84,000 (67.35%) of the population lived in urban areas.[1] The ethnic population was 60,835 (47.67%), of which Chakma were 60449, Tanchangya 3,488, Marma 2,765 and Tripura 2206 [2]

Rangamati Sadar Upazila is divided into Rangamati Municipality and six union parishads: Balukhali, Bandukbhanga, Jibtali, Kutukchari, Mogban, and Sapchari. The union parishads are subdivided into 21 mauzas and 178 villages.[1]
Education
According to Banglapedia, Rangamati Government High School, founded in 1862, and Lakers Public School are notable secondary schools.[5]
