2011 English municipal election
2011 local election results in Wakefield The 2011 Wakefield Metropolitan District Council election took place on 5 May 2011 to elect members of Wakefield Metropolitan District Council in West Yorkshire, England. One third of the council was up for election and the Labour party stayed in overall control of the council with an increased majority.[ 1] After the election, the composition of the council was:
